There is something to be said for the uncanny or bizarre that takes advantage of that one moment to lure you in like the slinky dance of a scented trail in an early Warner Bros. animation or just touches that thin line of beauty and the grotesque that lures us in with a primordial curiosity. Polly Hardy is a UK based textile artist who uses vintage stoles that she finds in local shops and on Ebay to create figures stitched, assembled, and reanimated into doll 'Combines' (to borrow from the awesome Robert Rauschenberg).
